38 Years of Prime Minister Hun Sen

Phnom Penh: Samdach Techo Hun Sen became the Prime Minister of Cambodia on January 14, 1985. So far, it has been 38 years of the him tenure in Cambodia (January 14, 1985 - January 14, 2023).

It should also be noted that the PM Hun Sen, the youngest Prime Minister in the world to hold office, has become one of the longest-serving prime ministers in the world.

For the past 38 years, Cambodia has gone through countless great obstacles, but Cambodia's smartest and most experienced leaders have led the development of the country to progress in all fields and have a good image on the international stage to this day.

Born on August 5, 1952, PM Hun Sen saved the lives of the Cambodian people from the Khmer Rouge genocidal regime on January 7, 1979 and ended the civil war in the unified country on December 28, 1998.

For many years, he has always been close to protecting Cambodia to be honored on the international stage, protecting the rights and freedoms of the people, especially the right to life of the people.

So far, PM has saved the lives of Cambodians from the grave twice. The first is to liberate the people from the Khmer Rouge genocidal regime and the second is to save the people from the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a word, "Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times."

Cambodians living in the good times created by this strong man, PM Hun Sen, may not be satisfied enough with what is now for some people, but what is now is not as bad as the bad times when Cambodians are in need of strong man, Samdech Techo Hun Sen to help.

"Do not wait for bad times to come and shout for the strong man, do not wait for a war-torn country to shout for peace."
